This is a cigar for the seasoned palate, woody, sweet and subtle. Not too strong, and not too thick. This Palamas needs care in the draw, it should have a sign around it that says smoke me slow! Me and rick argue a lot about this puro's qualities, Du Dauphin, says Rick, is a bit one dimensional, and he may have a smidgen of a point. Yet, I feel with the right pace, a fast burn means that soft and irregular draws are best to express the flavours of this cigar, and in the right circumstances this stogie can earn its place into your humidor. I smoke these in the car on the way to work sometimes, the traffic jams become less tedious when you have a Du Dauphin to nurture!
